Published on the occasion of Jack Pierson’s exhibition Aeternitas at the Museo Ettore Fico in Turin, this 240-page monographic catalogue is contained in a hard case. The volume presents the artist's Word Sculptures series begun in 1991, and constructed from letters recovered from the advertising signs of abandoned cinemas, supermarkets, and casinos. It is edited by Andrea Busto, and includes essays by Busto, David Rimanelli, and Sebastien Theroux.

These are works that viewers may read and interpret as deeply personal and intimate; yet their universal value lies precisely in their openness to multiple interpretations. Over the past thirty years, during which Jack Pierson has continued to assemble these sculptures, they have remained consistent in their inconsistency. At times they convey a palpable sense of sadness, joy, confusion, desire, or intense drama and nostalgia. At other moments, they seem to radiate restlessness or madness; alternatively, they evoke calmness and clarity. Despite their ever-changing moods, one constant remains: brevity.
