MARCO CINGOLANI - SOLO SHOW "Golden Age"

Pittura XXI - ARTEFIERA

February 2-5, 2023 - Booth A43

For of Arte Fiera 2023, within the curated Pittura XXI section, Thomas Brambilla gallery is proud to present a solo exhibition by Marco Cingolani featuring his evocative and most recent series, Golden Age.
As a master of contemporary Italian figuration, Cingolani invites the viewer into a world where myth, history, and memory dissolve into a vibrant and ethereal atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the ancient concept of a primordial era of peace and eternal spring, these works explore the delicate tension between classical narratives and the fluid, modern brushstroke.
In this series, the artist moves away from the chaotic, media-driven compositions of his earlier years to embrace a more lyrical and suspended dimension. The Golden Age is not merely a nostalgic look at the past, but a profound reflection on the power of painting to "figure" the world. The works are defined by a radiant palette dominated by gold-like yellows and warm luminosity, suggesting a spiritual space that exists outside of time. Here, classic themes—the portrait, the myth, and the still life—emerge from vibrant backgrounds as if they are in a constant state of becoming.
Presented in the prestigious context of Pittura XXI, this exhibition reaffirms Marco Cingolani’s role as one of the most significant voices in contemporary painting. By engaging in a dialogue with the roots of language and the human body, Cingolani transforms the act of painting into a bridge between the earthly and the transcendent, renewing the medium’s tradition through a deeply personal and visionary lens.
