Gli Ospiti Inattesi
E’ il secondo weekend di novembre, la Festa dei Morti è appena trascorsa e Torino vibra delle luci della Fiera. La notte di venerdì, nel quartiere di Porta Palazzo, un appartamento riceve visite: sono quattro ospiti del tutto inattesi. Si presentano alla porta in gruppo con una confidenza velatamente minacciosa e, senza dire una parola, si insediano in casa. Nella loro diversità hanno dei tratti in comune: indubbiamente la taglia, enorme. I loro modi sono a tratti inquietanti ma non ostili. Sembrano essere in attesa di qualcuno o di qualcosa. Silenziosi osservano e si lasciano osservare. Nel weekend di Artissima 2015 (7-9 novembre) gli artisti Cleo Fariselli, Corinna Gosmaro, Andrea Kvas ed Erik Saglia presentano Gli ospiti inattesi, mostra collettiva “flash” in un appartamento del quartiere di Porta Palazzo. I lavori esposti, creati per l’occasione e tutti di grande formato, si relazionano alla dimensione domestica dello spazio in una chiave “anti site-specific”. Il risultato è un confronto coinvolgente e inedito tra l’ambiente e le opere, che accolgono il visitatore come degli eccessivi e suggestivi “ospiti”.

It is the second weekend of November, the Day of the Dead has just passed and the lights of the Fair make Turin vibrate. Friday night, in the district of Porta Palazzo, an apartment receive a visit: four guests, completely unexpected. They appear at the door as a group, with subtly menacing confidence and, without saying a word, they settle in the house. In their diversity, they have traits in common: undoubtedly the size, huge. Their manners are sometimes disquieting but not hostile. They seem to be waiting for someone or something. Silently they look around, and let themselves be observed. On the weekend of Artissima 2015 (7-9 November) artists Cleo Fariselli, Corinna Gosmaro, Andrea Kvas and Erik Saglia present Unexpected guests, a “flash” group show in an apartment in the district of Porta Palazzo. The displayed works have been created for the occasion and their large format relate to the domestic dimension of the space in an “anti site-specific” way. The result is an exciting and unusual confrontation between the environment and the artworks, that welcome visitors like excessive and suggestive “guests”.
